Following Isa begins with repentance. Repentance is not merely feeling guilty. It is turning away from sin and turning back to Allah with honesty, surrender, and obedience.
Allah does not ask you to pretend you are clean. He asks you to come honestly, turn from sin, and begin a new direction.
Look Back
- How did you see Allah at work this past week?
- What do you remember from the last lesson?
- How did you apply it?
- Did you share it with anyone?
- What has Allah's Spirit (الروح القدس) been teaching you?
Look Up
Read these passages together slowly:
SAY
- What do these verses say about repentance?
- What do they say about Allah?
- What do they say about sin and forgiveness?
OBEY
- Is there a sin I need to turn away from?
- Is there something I need to confess honestly before Allah?
- What practical change do I need to make this week?
SHARE
- Who can I share this lesson with?
- Who else needs to study these verses with me?
- Who can I trust to help keep me on track?
Repentance is not a one-time religious act. Followers of Isa continue turning back to Allah whenever they drift.
Look Ahead
Practice explaining repentance in your own words this week so that you can share it simply with someone else.
- What is repentance?
- Why does Allah call people to repent?
- How does repentance change direction?
Ask Allah to give you an opportunity this week to speak naturally with someone about forgiveness, change, or turning back to Him.
Commissioning
Pray together.
- Ask Allah's Spirit (الروح القدس) to help you understand today's lesson.
